In den Monaten Oktober und November 2022 f\u00fchrt die Bio-Medien-K\u00fcnstlerin Sa\u0161a Spa\u010dal im Labor der Rillig-Gruppe | \u00d6kologie der Pflanzen am Institut f\u00fcr Biologie, Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin und bei Art Laboratory Berlin k\u00fcnstlerische Forschung f\u00fcr ihr neues Projekt <em>Terra Xenobiotica or How to Belong<\/em> durch.<br><br>\u201e<em>Terra Xenobiotica<\/em> ist eine Erkundung einer dunklen Alterit\u00e4t der Boden\u00f6kologie, einer eigenen <em>Umwelt<\/em>, in der sich mineralische und organische Stoffe als Fremde verschr\u00e4nken, aber in die Einheit des Bodens zerfallen, der das biologische Leben in der Zone tr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend des Aufenthalts werden zeitliche Aspekte von xenobiotischen Substanzen und Metabolismen in der N\u00e4he von Flugh\u00e4fen beprobt, erforscht und beobachtet. An den Knotenpunkten der planetarischen Luftverkehrsnetze werden die Spuren menschlicher Erdung und \u201aEnterdung\u2018 materiell untersucht, um aufzuzeigen, wie fremde Substanzen eine allm\u00e4hliche Zugeh\u00f6rigkeit bewirken.\u201c&nbsp;(Sa\u0161a Spa\u010dal)<br><br>Die Projekte von Sa\u0161a Spa\u010dal bieten \u201efaszinierende biotechnologische Strategien f\u00fcr die physische Erfahrung von Immersion und das philosophische Erleben von Verflechtung und Netzwerk&#8220;, reflektiert Regine Rapp in ihrem Essay <em>Sa\u0161a Spa\u010dal. Symbiosen und planetarische Verflechtungen<\/em>. &#8222;Ohne jemals den k\u00fcnstlerischen Wert \u00e4sthetischer Erfahrung einzub\u00fc\u00dfen, nutzt Spa\u010dal aktuelle wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und Laborpraktiken der Biologie \u2013 insbesondere der Mikrobiologie und Mykologie, der Wissenschaft von Pilzen. Damit schafft sie besondere Begegnungen, die durch nicht-sprachliche Formen der Wahrnehmung und des Austauschs vermittelt werden \u2013 akustische, elektronische und metabolische.
