Diese Veranstaltung ist die letzte Veranstaltung der Reading Group SURROGACY, die sich vier Wochen online getroffen hatte.<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Live-Performance | Reading Group SURROGACY, with Dr Anindita Majumdar\" width=\"680\" height=\"383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PNZV4vD8WZY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Im Rahmen unserer Reihe PERMEABLE BODIES f\u00fchrt Art Laboratory Berlin eine Reihe von Online-Lesegruppen in Verbindung mit dem Projekt UNBORN0x9 durch, das in der Ausstellung <a href=\"https:\/\/artlaboratory-berlin.org\/de\/ausstellungen\/matter-of-flux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matter of Flux<\/a> zu sehen war. UNBORN0x9 wurde von Shu Lea Cheang und Ewen Chardronnet in Zusammenarbeit mit Future Baby Production initiiert und reflektiert die technologisch-wissenschaftlichen Entwicklungen in der Geburtsmedizin, ihre sozialen, kulturellen, philosophischen und zuk\u00fcnftigen Implikationen und bietet einen k\u00fcnstlerischen Blick auf die Forschung im Entstehungsprozess. Im Zeitraum 2021-2022 war UNBORN0x9 Teil der EU-Plattform ART4MED.eu, die sich auf einen methodischen Rahmen konzentriert, der die Zusammenarbeit zwischen K\u00fcnstler:innen, Gesundheits- und Biomedizinforscher:innen f\u00f6rdert. Die Online-Lesegruppe zielt darauf ab, einen grenz\u00fcberschreitenden Wissensaustausch zu erm\u00f6glichen &#8211; \u00fcber Nationen, Rassen, Geschlechter, reale und virtuelle Grenzen hinweg. F\u00fcr die Studien zu drei spezifischen Themen &#8211; <em>Ultraschall, Ektogenese, Leihmutterschaft<\/em> &#8211; umfasst die Online-Webplattform Lesematerialien, Co-Writing-Pads und Online-Chats als mehrere Schnittstellen. Die von einer\/ einem LEITERIN mit 10 registrierten LESER:INNEN geleitete Online-Lesegruppe zielt auf vertiefte Forschung\/ Studien ab und m\u00f6chte die \u00f6ffentliche Debatte \u00fcber diese Themen anregen.<br><br>Die erste Online-Lesegruppe mit dem Schwerpunkt <em>Leihmutterschaft<\/em> (Surrogacy) begann am 16. Oktober 2023 f\u00fcr die Dauer von einem Monat endet mit einer \u00f6ffentlichen Veranstaltung (online) am 18. November 2023. Wir haben Dr. Anindita Majumdar als Leiterin der SURROGACY-Lesegruppe eingeladen.<br><br>Webplattform f\u00fcr die Lesegruppe: <br>UNBORN0x9, <a href=\"http:\/\/unborn0x9.labomedia.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/unborn0x9.labomedia.org<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Dr Anindita Majumdar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Anindita Majumdar ist Professorin an der Abteilung f\u00fcr freie K\u00fcnste des Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad. Seit 2010 forscht sie \u00fcber kommerzielle Leihmutterschaft, Verwandtschaft und Unfruchtbarkeit. Ihr Buch, das auf ihrer ethnografischen Forschung basiert, wurde 2017 von Oxford University Press ver\u00f6ffentlicht und tr\u00e4gt den Titel <em>Transnational Commercial Surrogacy and the (Un)Making of Kin in India<\/em>. Das Buch basierte auf ihrer Doktorarbeit und wurde 2016 vom Indian Institute of Technology Delhi mit dem &#8222;Distinction in Doctoral Research Award&#8220; ausgezeichnet. Die Monografie kam auch in die engere Wahl f\u00fcr den Bloomsbury LSE Social Anthropology Monograph Award 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anindita wurde eingeladen, einen Beitrag zur Oxford India Short Introductions Series \u00fcber Leihmutterschaft zu leisten, die 2019 ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde. Derzeit forscht und schreibt sie \u00fcber die Zusammenh\u00e4nge zwischen dem Altern und assistierten Reproduktionstechnologien in Indien. Dazu geh\u00f6rt auch Feldforschung in Nordindien bei Paaren nach der Menopause, die durch den Einsatz von assistierten Reproduktionstechnologien schwanger wurden. Die Forschung wurde von Wellcome UK finanziert, zusammen mit einer parallelen Forschung \u00fcber die biologische Uhr und Unfruchtbarkeitsbehandlung in S\u00fcdindien, die vom Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) unterst\u00fctzt wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u00fcrzlich war Anindita Mitherausgeberin und Redakteurin von f\u00fcnf Sonderausgaben zu Verwandtschaft, Bev\u00f6lkerung und reproduktiver Alterung in <em>Contemporary South Asia, Anthropology and Aging, Asian Journal of Women&#8217;s Studies, Reproductive Biomedicine<\/em> und<em> Society Online und Asian Bioethics Review.<\/em> Sie ist Mitglied des internationalen Beirats der Zeitschrift <em>Medicine, Anthropology, Theory <\/em>und externes Mitglied des Center for Reproductive Health (CORTH) an der University of Sussex. Im Jahr 2023 war sie Social Sciences and Public Policy Global Visiting Fellow am Department of Global Health and Social Medicine am King&#8217;s College London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Zum Thema LEIHMUTTERSCHAFT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Bei der \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung der kommerziellen Leihmutterschaftsindustrie, die sch\u00e4tzungsweise zwei Milliarden Dollar pro Jahr erwirtschaftet, stellen wir die Themen Arbeit, Mutterschaft, Eigentum, Zugang und Kontrolle zur Debatte. Es gibt viele Kontroversen \u00fcber Fragen und Gesetze im Zusammenhang mit der Leihmutterschaft im Bereich der assistierten Reproduktion. Die kommerzielle Leihmutterschaft ist eine Entwicklung, die in L\u00e4ndern wie Indien, Kanada und China explodiert ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besorgt \u00fcber den j\u00fcngsten und schnellen Anstieg der Leihmutterschaft in Nigeria befasst sich die Juristin Adebanke Adewumi in ihrem Aufsatz &#8222;An Appraisal of socio-legal issues in surrogacy as a method of assisted reproductive technology&#8220; mit den rechtlichen und ethischen Fragen der Leihmutterschaft als Methode der assistierten Reproduktionstechnologie und untersucht die einschl\u00e4gigen nationalen und internationalen Rechtsvorschriften, Instrumente und F\u00e4lle. Sie weist darauf hin, dass man nie vergessen sollte, dass &#8222;eine Schwangerschaft zwar ein nat\u00fcrlicher Vorgang ist, aber in der Regel mit gewissen Risiken verbunden ist. Die Entscheidung einer Frau, schwanger zu werden, bedeutet, dass sie bereit ist, sich den Risiken zu stellen. Leider tr\u00e4gt bei der Leihmutterschaft die Leihmutter die Risiken, ohne den nat\u00fcrlichen Vorteil der Mutterschaft zu haben, denn sie wird das Kind schlie\u00dflich wie vereinbart an den Partner abgeben.&#8220; France Winddance Twine untersucht in ihrem Buch <em>Outsourcing the Womb<\/em> die Komplexit\u00e4t, die Rasse\/Klasse\/Geschlecht, Religion, Rechtssysteme, Biopolitik und globaler Kapitalismus auf dem Markt f\u00fcr Leihmutterschaft spielen. Dennoch ist es laut der amerikanischen Ethnografin Elly Teman m\u00f6glich, Leihmutterschaft als &#8222;dyadisches K\u00f6rperprojekt&#8220; zu betrachten, das &#8222;kollaborative, duale Formen der Identit\u00e4tsarbeit&#8220; sein kann. In <em>Birthing a Mother: The Surrogate Body and the Pregnant Self <\/em>(Der Leihk\u00f6rper und das schwangere Selbst) zeigt sie, dass Leihm\u00fctter, wenn sie sich psychologisch und emotional von dem F\u00f6tus, den sie austragen, l\u00f6sen, eine tiefe und dauerhafte Bindung mit der Wunschmutter entwickeln. Sophie Lewis, die den Standpunkt des Queer-Feminismus vertritt, fordert in ihrem k\u00fcrzlich erschienenen Buch <em>Full Surrogacy Now<\/em> (Verso, 2020) unverbl\u00fcmt die Abschaffung der Familie, &#8222;queer polymaternalism&#8220; und &#8222;gestational communes&#8220;, um eine spekulative Zukunft zu erreichen, in der wir die &#8222;plurale Geb\u00e4rmutter und eine Welt jenseits von Verwandtschaft und Entfremdung durch Arbeit&#8220; erreichen.
