Diese Veranstaltung ist die letzte Veranstaltung der Reading Group ULTRASOUND, die sich vier Wochen online getroffen hatte.<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Live-Performance | Reading Group ULTRASOUND with Dr Julie Roberts\" width=\"680\" height=\"383\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PMpb9uktbak?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Im Rahmen unserer neuen Reihe PERMEABLE BODIES bietet Art Laboratory Berlin eine Reihe von Online-Lesegruppen in Verbindung mit dem Projekt UNBORN0x9 an, das in der Ausstellung <a href=\"https:\/\/artlaboratory-berlin.org\/de\/ausstellungen\/matter-of-flux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matter of Flux<\/a> gezeigt wird. UNBORN0x9 wurde von Shu Lea Cheang und Ewen Chardronnet in Zusammenarbeit mit Future Baby Production initiiert und reflektiert die technologisch-wissenschaftlichen Entwicklungen in der Geburtsmedizin, ihre sozialen, kulturellen, philosophischen und zuk\u00fcnftigen Implikationen und bietet einen k\u00fcnstlerischen Blick auf die Forschung im Entstehunsgprozess. Im Zeitraum 2021-2022 war UNBORN0x9 Teil der EU-Plattform ART4MED.eu, die sich auf einen methodischen Rahmen konzentriert, der die Zusammenarbeit zwischen K\u00fcnstler:innen, Gesundheits- und Biomedizinforscher:innen f\u00f6rdert. Die Online-Lesegruppe zielt darauf ab, einen grenz\u00fcberschreitenden Wissensaustausch zu erm\u00f6glichen \u2013 \u00fcber Nationen, Rassen, Geschlechter, reale und virtuelle Grenzen hinweg. F\u00fcr die Studien zu drei spezifischen Themen \u2013 Ektogenese, <em>Ultraschall, Leihmutterschaft<\/em> \u2013 umfasst die Online-Webplattform Lesematerialien, Co-Writing-Pads und Online-Chats als mehrere Schnittstellen. Die von einer\/ einem LEITERIN mit 10 registrierten LESER:INNEN geleitete Online-Lesegruppe zielt auf vertiefte Forschung\/ Studien ab und m\u00f6chte die \u00f6ffentliche Debatte \u00fcber diese Themen anregen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die zweite Online-Lesegruppe mit dem Schwerpunkt <em>Ultrasound<\/em> wird am 15. Juni 2023 f\u00fcr die Dauer von einem Monat starten und mit einer \u00f6ffentlichen Veranstaltung (online) am 15. Juli 2023 enden. Wir haben Dr. Julie Roberts als Leiterin der Ultrasound-Lesegruppe eingeladen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Webplattform f\u00fcr die Lesegruppe:<br>UNBORN0x9, <a href=\"http:\/\/unborn0x9.labomedia.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/unborn0x9.labomedia.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Dr Julie Roberts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Dr. Julie Roberts ist eine feministische, interdisziplin\u00e4re Wissenschaftlerin mit Interessen in den Bereichen Reproduktionspolitik, Erfahrungen in der Mutterschaftsbetreuung und visuelle Darstellungen von Schwangerschaft und Geburt. Sie ist Senior Research Fellow bei der Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group, School of Health Sciences, University of Nottingham, UK und Autorin von &#8222;The Visualised Foetus: A Cultural and Political Analysis of Ultrasound Imagery&#8220; (Ashgate 2012; neu aufgelegt bei Routledge 2017).<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>\u00dcber Ultrasound<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Ultraschall ist eine Technologie, die urspr\u00fcnglich in Sonarger\u00e4ten f\u00fcr die U-Boot-Kriegsf\u00fchrung entwickelt und Anfang der 1960er Jahre in die Geburtshilfe eingef\u00fchrt wurde. Seitdem ist sie sowohl zur medizinischen Routine geworden als auch zu einer Ikone der \u00d6ffentlichkeit. Die unscharfen Schwarz-Wei\u00df-Bilder in 2D sind immer sch\u00e4rfer geworden, und der 3\/4D-Ultraschall liefert zunehmend realistische, bewegte Bilder. Da die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe der f\u00fcr die Erstellung von Ultraschallbildern erforderlichen Ger\u00e4te abgenommen hat, ist die Tragbarkeit und Erschwinglichkeit gestiegen, so dass der Ultraschall in neue geografische Gebiete und neue M\u00e4rkte vordringen konnte. In den letzten Jahren hat ein neuer technologischer Durchbruch die Ultraschallbildgebung auf Smartphones gebracht. Der Einsatz universeller, ultraportabler Ultraschallbildgebung wurde als &#8222;Echo-Stethoskopie&#8220; bezeichnet. Mehrere Unternehmen (Phillips, Butterfly IQ, Clarius Mobile Health) und Open-Source-Community-Projekte (Echopen) konkurrieren auf diesem neuen Markt.<br><br>Ultraschall hat jedoch eine biopolitische Dimension, die eng mit komplexen sozialen Bedingungen und bioethischen Fragen verkn\u00fcpft ist. Feministische Wissenschaftlerinnen haben argumentiert, dass der Ultraschall durch die neue Sichtbarkeit des F\u00f6tus das m\u00fctterliche Subjekt ausl\u00f6scht. In dieser Lesegruppe werden wir sowohl die Freuden als auch die Gefahren des Ultraschalls f\u00fcr Frauen, Geb\u00e4rende und Familien betrachten.
